Track Mapping: Key Features

GPS Exact Track mapping is a standard feature with all of our dash loggers.

Only R.L.C. lets you see your lap lines within the track. Each lap line is different from the last because each lap line you drove is different. R.L.C. uses GPS so that track maps are extremely accurate. Track mapping this way allows drivers to easily find their fastest line thus helping to improve their lap times significantly. All of the data taken by the GPS is directly linked to the data taken from the car. When you analyze your data in the PC analysis software, that data will directly correspond to the cars exact position on the track. While analyzing the data you can show any number of laps or pick which laps you want to see. You could select your fastest lap and compare it to other laps and figure out why that lap was the fastest. Finding the differences between your fastest lap and other laps could allow you to better your time and possibly win the race!

Exact Track:

For drivers that want more from their GPS track mapping, R.L.C. introduces Exact Track. Exact Track takes basic track mapping to the next level. With Exact Track you are able to review your lap lines exactly how they lie within the actual track. To generate a track map with Exact Track you have to drive the track twice, once with your tires on the left side of the track and once with your tires on the right side of the track. This method builds a track map that looks exactly like the track, widths of turns, straight away's, etc. After you have built the track you can use our PC analysis software to put in rumble strips, buildings, flag stations, finish line, pit lanes, and more. When your are reviewing your session on the track you are able see each lap exactly how you drove it around the track, within the track. This way you can see how you got your fastest lap or why a lap was slow. You are also able to zoom in on sections of the track to better review your data. Imagine being able to isolate your pros and cons of each lap by seeing exactly how you drove each lap on the track.

Zoom in on any part of the track to see your exact line through a turn, staight away, or cork screw. Being able to zoom in lets you easily find the quickest line through that particular part of the track and also lets you analyze your cars data more precisely. Use the zoom tool when you are overlaying different track sessions to easily find the fastest line. You can even zoom in on the track while the lap is being played, the window will automatically pan to next part of the track with the car!
If you choose not to map a track the Exact Track way you will still get a track map more accurate than anyone else. You still see your exact lap line on the track and can zoom in on parts of the track. The only difference is, is that the track is built by how much of the track you drove on. So where you see narrow spots on the track that is where your lap lines were very similar, almost the same. Where the track gets wider that is where your lap lines were more spread out, maybe that's where you were passing a car. Either way of track mapping yeilds the most accurate track maps in the industry!
